My name is Laura Wright and I'm grateful to be considered for the TLS School Board. While I
was born in South Carolina, I've called Virginia home for 45 years. I live in Carrollton with my
husband, Jimmy, and our 11-year-old son, Parker. My family is active in the local community as
well as the Trinity Lutheran School community; My husband Jimmy has worked at Newport
News Shipbuilding for 40 years as a Quality Assurance Engineer Technician. Professionally, I
bring a degree in Business Management and 25 years of hands-on experience managing
Freedom Farm Inc, a nationally renowned horse show farm in Carrollton. In this role, I am
responsible for human resources, daily operations, and strategic planning. Most importantly,
I'm the mother of Parker, who is currently in the sixth grade and has truly thrived at Trinity
since he started in Pre-K 4. With eight years of direct parent experience, I have a strong
understanding of Trinity's foundation and culture. I have been a dedicated member of the TLS
community, serving actively on the PTO, the Booster Club, and a Room Parent for all 8 years,
and have loved every minute of it.
