Jenny Michaeli

Jennifer Grimsley Michaeli, PhD, PE, a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, is a graduate of Webb
Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Old Dominion University.  She is a business owner,
a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, and a SNAME Fellow. For almost 3 decades, Dr. Michaeli
has worked closely with military and commercial stakeholders to develop and field new technologies
into the maritime sector. She has served as an ASNE National Councilor and Member of the National
Academies of Science’ NNR Committee.  For her contributions to the field of naval engineering, Dr.
Michaeli holds numerous patents and has been honored to receive the Navy’s RADM Melville Award,
ASNE’s Rosenblatt Award, and SCHEV’s Outstanding Faculty Award. Her son and daughter currently
attend Trinity Lutheran School. She loves tennis, skiing, and traveling with her family.
